Earlier this week Police Scotland requested the assistance of a Trossachs Search and Rescue dog team to look for a man who had not turned up at his intended accommodation on the West Highland Way. The Team were called out shortly after 0200 hrs and a dog team and buddy attended at Rowerdennan, searching the WHW path from Rowerdennan north as far as Inversnaid (the mans intended destination). Luckily the missing person was found safe and well in Crianlarich later that morning. Other search Teams (Lomond Mountain Rescue Team and Killin Mountain Rescue Team) had been gathering at Inversnaid and Crianlarich respectively to also assist in the search. Thankfully a successful outcome to this incident, and we were delighted to be of assistance.
