Our senior Urban SAR Dog Taz has been voted by the public as winner in a recent photo competition run by Carrie Southerton Dog Photography Studios and will poster boy for the coming year! Well done Taz.
Taz has been a #USAR dogs with Trossachs SAR for several years and was one of our three dogs to attend The #Clutha tragedy in Glasgow in 2013, alongside Glen and Jess.
He's also participated in several other searches and even responded to an incident in the Outer Hebrides.
Gayle, his handler, is very proud of her boy and what could be better than receiving word of Taz's win on her 40th birthday!
Gayle plans to retire Taz at the end of this year - he still has plenty energy left and desire to do search work meantime.
Taz also won the 'Extraordinary Life of a Working Dog' category at Crufts in early 2018, and was a finalist in the 'Friends for Life Award.'
Congratulations Taz, and Gayle.
