Between Wednesday 28 February 2018 and Monday 5 March 2018, Trossachs Search and Rescue Team were deployed to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland, NHS Forth Valley, Stirling Council and other services during the severe weather.
Callouts included
Attending 999 emergency calls
Assisting the Scottish Ambulance Service reach patients and assist with ambulances stuck in snow.
Assist the Scottish Ambulance Service Patient Transport Service (PTS) with transporting patients to and from hospital.
Assist NHS Forth Valley with staff transport
Assist Stirling Council and Police Scotland in Carron Valley delivering supplies on foot to cut off settlements at Gartcarron and Easter Buckieburn
Assist Stirling Council with the transport of care staff
Assist pharmacy's with the delivery of prescriptions and medication
In total the team spent over 90 hours between Wednesday 28 February 2018 and Monday 5 March 2018 dealing with incidents and our volunteers racked up a total of 225 hours at incidents.
During the above period 155 hours of First Responder cover was still provided and our Urban Search and Rescue dogs were still on call.
